Oreo Cheesecake & my love for Vanilla May 1, 2008

Here’s a recipe to make an Oreo Cheesecake from scratch.
I’m excited for someone to cook this for me. Or a much more likely scenario; I’m excited to eat it after I cook it myself.
It takes 13-14 hours over the course of 2 days. Which means no matter how good it is it’s not getting cooked with any kind of frequency. A Cheese Soufflé is proof enough of that fact.
Everyone knows I’m not a chocolate fan, which obviously puts me in the minority. But everyone likes Oreos. On another note, I take exception to the fact that vanilla has become a synonym for plain (or worse–boring). I understand that in some cases a vanilla flavor is the “norm”, but usually in those cases it’s a poor flavor of Vanilla. If you want to eat something Vanilla that actually has flavor I recommend Breyers Natural Vanilla (not French Vanilla).

WOW!!! Thats looks delicious. I want to try this recipes soon. Thanks.
I hadn’t had oreos in year, and then they somehow found their way into our house last year, and the wife and I rediscovered them. Sadly, we rediscovered the whole package at once.
cookies ‘n cream is the best flavor EVER! Have you ever had those mud/dirt cake/pudding things? You can present it in a pot with a plant even and then eat what looks like dirt but is really oreos chunked up with other yummy stuff!
